![]() ![]() Then I might not have purchased the higher priced Canis with the Warney type blade. The Yojimbo 2 has a great big, really thick, good looking Warney blade. Now in hindsight I wish that I had purchased the Yojimbo 2 first. The Canis has not been carried very long( still new) and has had no real carry usage, and no abuse. the new Yojimbo 2 blade with the same type of steel. I am now wondering about the hardness /Brittleness of the Canis blade vs. Very disappointing for a really new knife, and a expensive knife. It is small enough that hopefully resharpening the blade should get the small nick out of the blade. The Taiwan made Canis picked up a small nick in the front of the blade next to the tip. I changed my opinion of the Canis when doing some light comparison cutting, slashing, and stabbing of a newspaper, and a thin USPS cardboard box with the two knives. It is still a good knife with a below average, to average balde. Everything I stated about the Canis is still basically true. So I purchased it from Blade Ops and gave the Canis a 5 Star rating. I originally thought that the Canis was maybe worth the extra $40 plus dollars because of internet reviews, the good looking fancy blade shape, and the carbon fiber handle. Well looks are not everything as we all should know. The Yo2 and the Canis are self defense type knives, with similar looks and feel. I purchased the Yojimbo 2 to compare it with my new Spyderco Canis.
